Cakes for Delivery
Ayo’s Cakes and Bakes offer an in-house delivery service for our cakes and cupcakes. We deliver to the following postcodes: BR1 – BR8, SE1 – SE28, DA1 – DA18, CR0 and CR2 – CR8. Delivery charges are applicable and are calculated on the cart/checkout pages. Please ensure:
- You select the “Cake/Cupcake Inhouse Delivery” shipping option as these detail the charges for these items. Please note, cakes and cupcakes are not shipped via UK Royal Mail, so do not select this option. If you do so, we will request the additional shipping charges are paid prior to the delivery of your order. (See our terms and conditions)
- You enter your order fulfilment date in the notes at the bottom of the checkout page.
The delivery (shipping) address is listed separately to the billing address in the checkout process. When placing an order for delivery, please be sure to provide a number which can be used to contact you or the recipient should any problems arise. If for any reason no one is present to accept the delivery at the specified address, we will take your order back to our Orpington base and will retain it for 24 hours. During this time you may call us on 07956154956 to request re-delivery at an additional charge or arrange personal collection.
For delivery outside of our standard delivery area, please contact us before placing your order so we can provide a delivery quotation.

Cakes for Collection
If preferred, you can arrange the collection of your order from our Orpington base. Our standard collection times are as follows: 5.30pm – 8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am -12 noon on Saturday mornings. Your exact time slot and collection details will be confirmed via email.
For occasion cakes and cupcakes, collection via car is recommended with a flat surface for the cakes to sit on; such as the car floor. Please do not place your cake/cupcakes on a car seat or in the boot of the car as the cakes/cupcakes are likely to slide during transit.
All of our goods are packed with care and attention. Once items have been collected by a client/ third party Ayo’s Cakes and Bakes is not liable for any damage incurred during the transportation of your order. Further information can be found in our terms and conditions.
Postal Treats
Our brownies, tea-time loaves and sugar cookies fall under our postal treat range, meaning they are dispatched via Royal Mail UK wide.
Items will ship on a Tuesday unless otherwise stated in the order notes on the cart page. If ordering multiple treats for multiple delivery addresses, please order them individually and update the delivery address for each purchase.
Orders for dispatch on Tuesday must be placed by Saturday midday. Please note, due to the current pandemic some deliveries are taking longer than expected. Please bear this in mind when selecting your shipping option.
Gifts & Stationary Ordered Online
Ayo’s Cakes and Bakes offer a range of edible/ foodie inspired gifts and stationary in our online shop. Our edible gift sets are packed to order. Please allow up to 3 working days for processing prior to shipping.
Our stationary items and non-edible gift items are ready to ship – order processing 1-3 working days. All items ship from London, UK via Royal Mail postal services. Please note, gift and stationary items are not available for local pickup. If “local pickup” is selected as the checkout, we will request the additional shipping charges are paid prior to the shipment of your order.
Shipping costs are calculated at the cart/checkout pages. Estimated delivery times are as follows:
UK Shipping – UK orders are sent via Royal Mail delivery in 1-2 business days for 1st Class shipping or 3-5 days for 2nd Class shipping, from dispatch.
EU Shipping – Orders from Europe are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked Delivery in 3-5 business days from dispatch. International Shipping (outside of the EU) – International orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked Delivery in 5-7 business days from dispatch.
Please note, the above delivery lead estimates have been advised via Royal Mail, are not guaranteed and outwit our control. During peak/ busier postal seasons; such as Christmas, we would advise placing your order earlier to avoid disappointment.
International orders may be subject to delays outwith our control. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import duties that may apply.
Incorrect Shipping Address
Please double check the shipping address and ensure correct at the time of order. Packages returned to us due to insufficient address information can be reshipped but the buyer will be asked to pay the re-shipping cost.
